About this product

Resoling & Recrafting

A Goodyear welt exists so the sole can be removed and replaced without disturbing the upper. That is the entire point of it, and it is why a welted boot is worth more than a cemented one.

So we resole. New soles, new heels, new welts where they have gone, and a full recraft where the uppers are worth saving — which they usually are, because good leather outlasts several soles.

This is also the honest answer to the price question. A cemented boot at half the price that lasts a third as long and cannot be repaired is not cheaper. Cost per year is the only comparison that means anything, and we will do that arithmetic with you even when it costs us a sale.

Individuals, ranches and programmes. Send us the pair you already own and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth saving.

Who this style suits

Individuals

Ten more years from the same pair.

Ranches

Repair a crew rather than replace it.

Programmes

Budgeted per year, not per pair.

FAQ

Resoling & Recrafting: quick answers

What is the minimum order for boot resoling and recrafting?
Minimum order is just 12 — with bulk pricing tiers as quantities grow.
How fast will my order arrive?
Your free mockup lands within 24 hours and the finished order ships in about 2 weeks — express turnaround is available for tight dates.
Can you resole boots you did not make?
Yes, if they are welted. If a boot is cemented, the sole is glued directly to the upper and there is usually nothing to rebuild onto — we will tell you that plainly rather than take the money.
Is it worth repairing?
Usually, because the uppers outlast several soles. Sometimes not, and we will say so. The number that matters is cost per year, and we will do that arithmetic even when it argues against buying from us.
